His Glory ordains four, marks anniversary
HIS Glory Evangelistic and Prophetic Ministry, a.k.a Majemu Atunse, Madibo Street, Aba Ida, off Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, New Felele, Ibadan, has ordained four of its members during the celebration service marking the church's seventh anniversary recently. Those ordained were Bro Olusola Oladejo as Evangelist, Bro. Abiodun Abolaji as church patron, Mrs Abolade Latifat as children's matron and Mrs Taiwo Akinyemi as a deaconess.
Speaking during the ordination service held in the church auditorium, Prophet Jolaoluwa Olaniyi, the General Overseer of the church, warned the ordainees not to misuse divine power during the course of their ministry.
The General Overseer also cautioned them not to be arrogant, be submissive to relevant church authority, and be humble too, praying God Almighty to be their guide and helper. Prophet Olaniyi said to be complete in the ministry and succeed, one must endure, must be obedient, strong in faith and be prayerful.
After intensive prayers for them, Prophet Olaniyi later anointed them and gave them certificate of ordination during the well-attended service.
Recounting his experience in the last seven years of the ministry, the General Overseer, Prophet Olaniyi thanked the Lord for His exceeding greatness, favour and love for the assistance he had received so far, saying the church rose from grass to grace.
He thanked in particular, Pastor Tunde Ojelade for his support to the ministry and love. He also appreciated Pastor Olasunkanmi Abioye, all the church's pastors and evangelists, the members as well as his wife, Lady Evangelist Odunola Olaniyi for her understanding and prayers.
Ministering on the theme of the anniversary: God of Mercy (Olorun Aanu), the guest minister, Prophet Olaoluwa Iyiola (JP) said when mercy is at work, it has nothing to do with eloquency, one's qualification, status or position in the society. In the sermon, Prophet Iyiola said God uses five Ps to lift anyone. He wants to bless. These items include: Quality people; positioning – saying many are not where God wants them to be, to be favoured. He also gave power to access divine power as another item, saying when mercy is really at work, mistakes would not count.
He said a man without a certificate or higher qualification became a state Deputy Governor somewhere in Nigeria where there are several professors. He therefore urged Christians to remain steadfast with God and continue to ask for divine mercy and favour.
Special guests at the anniversary programme included Pastor Olasunkanmi Abioye, Pastor Precious Osoro, Pastor Aderemi Adedeji (Oyinbo Jesu), Rev. Wale Adeola, Pastor and Prophetess Badejo, Rev. Aderemi Omoni, Evangelist Olalekan Akanji, Pastor Michael Amole, Pastor (Mrs.) Adisa, Lady Evang. Morishe Abolaji, Evang. Rotimi and Pastor Tunde Ojelade among several others. The father of the day was Mr. Akintunde.
