Nigeria on path of greatness —Cleric

A Christian leader, Prophet Emmanuel Tossu, has urged Christians and Nigerians in general not to lose hope or be discouraged in difficult moments like our experience towards the end of 2017, assuring that things would be better soon.

Prophet Tossu who is the Senior Shepherd in charge of Celestial Church of Christ, CCC, Ipe-Odo Aguntan District Headquarters, Sanyo, Ibadan, gave these words of encouragement in his New Year message to Nigerians in the church.

The man of God, in the message, said anointing for total recovery enables a person or a nation to recover and reclaim whatever they had lost in the journey of life, noting that it is possible for someone to lose one thing or the other, but when you move closer to God, it will enable you to recover it.

He regretted that Nigerians suffered greatly during the recent fuel crisis.

Speaking further with journalists after the New Year service in the church, Prophet Tossu, who is also the HOD, New Felele Diocese of CCC, Nigerian Diocese, called for more support for President Muhammadu Buhari, saying he is capable but he is surrounded by selfish aides who do not want him to succeed.

He pleaded with the state governors in particular to pay workers salaries as at when due to lessen the hardship the people are facing.

For Nigeria to experience total recovery, we must pray hard against kidnapping, ritual killings and other social vices bedevelling the nation.

He said: “God is on our side, but we must be patient with our leaders and love ourselves”.

He pleaded with politicians to fear God, saying Buhari's aides must be faithful if the President will ever succeed in office.  Surely God is on our side, but if things would work well for us as a nation, politicians must change their winner takes all attitude and pray for forgiveness of their sins, he added.
